A Blank Canvas

These are the materials I left in the mud pie kitchen, just to see what would happen:

An easel (no paper needed)

Tempera pellets

Containers for water

Brushes

And actual blank canvas (that went almost completely unused)

So what did they do with all this stuff?  Oh, an hour later they were still going strong, with various groups of kids coming over to explore.  Later that day, two girls figured out how to turn the easel into a water fall.
